Wow... that's pretty bad. But you can get a fuse block from any ce2 car. B3, b4, late mk2, mk3, Corrado, and eurovan I believe.

Thanks Trevor - I ended up finding a used CE2 fuse block on eBay for like $30 shipped, figured I'd just order it. MKII stuff seems to be hard to find locally.

Connectors and extra wiring pins are coming in the mail, so by next week I should have the wiring sorted back out, and lights back up and working.

Here's a few more pictures:

That has to be the best way to teach yourself what you need to know. A Bentley weights in gold along with A2 Resource..com. in showing u exactly what your looking at with those crispys. It's awesome too see u take the crash course with the wiring over using any of the stocks I have.

^Yep got it form Pete.

While waiting for the parts to show up, I vacuumend the seats and cleaned up the sound deadening...soak, pressure wash, line dry:

Need a new airbox:

Got the replacement CE2 fusebox in the mail and plugged it all in:

Started getting the lights going, parking seems to work, plate, hazards etc.:

Now to get the headlights working. This is the worst PO hack I have run across, and I'm now at a standstill until I figure out what's going on with the 12v from the switch source.

I decided to make a new wiring harness with relays for low/high, and i'll make another for the inner lights as well. Went and picked up a bunch of connectors and wire, and began removing the old and creating a new harness:

Same! It's been too long. Should be getting some part in here soon from Leifro, so the swap should be kicking in here

I need some electrical help - you guys have a lot of know how here, and I posted out on VWvortex as well for other thoughts:

I'm having issues with my headlights, lack of light and voltage specifcally.

First, this car has been hacked into by the PO, but it seems to be localized to the headlight harness, so I have decided to relay the headlights. The harness is built, and works.

However, I am getting 0v to the switch wire (Yellow/Blk on the drivers, Yellow on the pass), so obviously the relay is not being activated. Tracing that wire back to A1/A2 at the fuse box, I have continuity but 0v. When I pull the fuse out of #1 I have 0v at the fuse at either side of the fuse.

Example: Drivers headlight ----> A1 (fusebox) ----> fuse (#1) ---> ???? ---> Switch

My question is, what's before the fuse? What am I missing here? Why do I have 0v all over the headlight circuit?

I will get one (as I do for all my VW's), but I do not currently have a Bentley for the MKII yet, and am hoping someone can point me to an online wiring diagram.

PS, yes I have fogs on this car.

EDIT: Yes, I have checked/replaced fuses etc.
