First drain the oil and remove the oil filter.
Next detach the coolant reservoir by removing the 3 phillips screws. You can keep the coolant hoses connected and move to the side. Make sure to disconnect the coolant level pigtail.
There are 2 coolant lines connected to the oil cooler,the supply and the return. You will need to pinch off the lines so you don't lose all the coolant. Then detach the hoses.
There is a very thin 27mm nut that holds the cooler on. When removing be careful not to damage the threads.
The old seal will be very brittle and may be stuck to the cooler. Take the time and clean thoroughly.
Take the time and clean all the mating surfaces involved.
Then install the new o-ring. Make sure the o-ring seats properly.
Reinstall the cooler and tighten the 27mm nut to spech. Re-install the coolant hoses to the cooler and take the pinch clamps off.
Time to install a new oil filter, connect the coolant level pigtail and attach the coolant reservoir to the mounting points.
Top off the engine oil and be on your way.
