Re: I SO: audi 20v
Ill post pics when I start my build thread for it. For a sec there B I think we were after the same motor. But really though this car is no show stopper...yet. vr6 is gonna be such a better transplant in my opinion, weight distro, raw power and I dont know a car guy out there that doesnt grin hearing a vr6 roar! Plus I got one on the shelf so the time and money a i5 20vt is gonna take is more than a vr6 build. I have my hands on a plain i5 30v buts its not the turbo yo. May u have interest in it let me know cause I'm ruling out the i5. Also brandon what info do u want on the 5+5. Its gold, I beleive an 84 and its no quattro but a damn good start for anyone interested. Its at a friend of mines place. I could probably get the car with some cash.

The s1 clone!!!! Build thread coming soon. My parts car will be a 1990 audi 90 20v straight swap till I finish a little turbo on a vr6 and get the adapter plate for the Quattro swamp. And come to think about it a 5+5 plus the two gt coupe my friend has would make a..... s1?

Re: I SO: audi 20v
5+5 front half from where the door closes, then a coupe gt from there back would almost look like an s1 but then it wouldnt be aluminum reinforced Kevlar and fiberglass now would it.

Re: I SO: audi 20v
those bits are special order from europe anyways, also it would look right but you need a third donor, audi 4000 to make it quattro , i want to keep the sweot back windscreen on mine. the 5plus5 would make a nice donor, but so rare on this side of the planet

Re: I SO: audi 20v
True, just about every quattro conversion I see starts with a 4000. So there are actually two quattros from back in that era, there was the urq sport quattro then there was the " " that looked like the coupe gt but was quattro. It has an almost identical look to the sport quattro but had a longer window frame behind the doors
