Friends, Montanans, countrymen, and ladies... lend me your ears!

In the late summer or early fall of 2015 we are planning a fantastic Euro car cruise! It will be an amazing journey through one of the most beautiful places in our country. We would like you and your friends to join us for this unforgettable trip!

If you have never been to Glacier National Park, this will be the time to go!

"Glacier National Park is the center of one of the largest and most intact ecosystems in North America. The views from the cliff-strewn Going-to-the-Sun Road over the Continental Divide make a visit worthwhile, but the experience from inside a car or one of the Park’s famous Red Jammer buses is just the tip of the icefield. Glacier’s one million acres of turquoise alpine lakes, mountain goats and grizzly bears, craggy peaks, and of course, glaciers are almost guaranteed to leave visitors speechless."
--- MT Official Travel Site

Overview

What to drive:

A Euro! But we do realize that not everyone's European automobile will be up for the journey.
Please take care in evaluating the amount of stamina your daily driver, garage queen, project, or rust bucket has.

When we are going:
We are planning on doing this cruise on a weekend during late summer or early fall of 2015.
Please be sure to comment on when works for you!

How long we will be gone:

The cruise will be going on over a Saturday and Sunday.
We recommend setting aside Friday as well and using it as a travel day.

Where we are going:
Glacier National Park!
Saturday: West Glacier to Logan Pass. From Logan Pass to St. Mary's. From St. Mary's to Glacier Lodge in East Glacier.
Sunday: From Glacier Park Lodge, people can go east to Butte, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, and Billings, or go west back around the outside of the park back to West Glacier.

What to pack:
Warm clothes
Extra clothes
Swim suit
Towels
Food & beverages
Sleeping bags
Any safety or first aid you can imagine needing
Extra oil, coolant, etc. for your vehicle
Gas can
Cameras, video recorders, GoPros

How much this will be costing:

Gas is the biggest variable. We would recommend allowing $150 plus or minus depending on the mpg's you get from your vehicle for fuel while driving through to Glacier Park Lodge and back to West Glacier.
Use your best judgement when it comes to estimating fuel costs for driving to West Glacier from where you live.
We also recommend you have cash for splitting hotel rooms, paying for dinner, etc. while on this trip.

Glacier Park charges an entrance fee as well:

It sounds fun. The Billings crew should meet up with the Bozeman crew and drive in a parade of sorts. I haven't been there for a long time.

Wife wants to do this park... Might be able to match it with a trip like this. I'll subscribe to see how the plans work out.

I admit I put this in the back of my head for a few months.
With spring around the corner I'm going to finish the plans.

So excited gas is half the price it was back in 2014.

I have maps drawn up. Places to meet, eat, drink, refuel, hotel, etc.
Waiver is drawn up that will need to be signed when we meet up. It just states that BigSkyEuro and event organizers are not liable for any damages/deaths etc.
Going to be calling and getting prices for hotel/camping.
Putting together supply/cost list.
Also considering having a couple awards with some interesting trophies that we would vote on.

Its going to be fun guys!!!
