Yeah...I gave it a nice paint job. JB Weld grey. This was about a year ago when I changed the plugs and wires. I noticed some suuuper fine hairline cracks. Thought I ran across something about this on TDIclub while researching my radiator fans.

It does sound like a stuck compressor clutch, I'll see if I can find the link that I thought I read...helpful, I know.

So I tore apart the motor and rebuilt it (stuck brushes). So now both my fans run. Question now is, after driving around in the hot hot heat, the one working fan used to run for a few after I shut the engine off. Now that they both work, it does not do this. Was that just a symptom of one fan not wo...

So, it's like consistently 90-100° down here in SL, UT (salt lake). I noticed that only one of my radiator fans ever seems to spin up...at least that is what I'm assuming. I can't ever recall seeing the other one active. I've only really looked after driving around in the heat, then popped the hood ...

Ok, so anyone want to give me a brief rundown on the breaking system of mkiv's? Basicly, I have 3 out of 4 disc's that show wear from breaking action...i assume all 4 are used by the abs system. (rears are not just parking brake) My passenger rear disc is rusted all over the face...ie no wear from b...
